Conference venues Pietermaritzburg

Pietermaritzburg is the capital and second largest city in the province of Kwa Zulu Natal and was founded in 1838.
An important, industrial hub, rich in aluminum, timber and dairy production. The capital city also offers excellent schools and tertiary education institutions, including a campus of the University of KZN.

Pietermaritzburg’s picturesque location is a mix of forests, hills and vales with rolling countryside linking the city to the KZN-Midlands. Largely Victorian in its design, PMB is the administrative capital of the province and situated equi-distant between Durban and the Drakensberg. A gateway to both Johannesburg and Durban.

The climate in Pietemaritzburg is usually very hot summers and cold winters with its rainfall in summer and fairly frequent thunder storms in the late afternoons.
